Nuron Mukumi – Biography
Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Nuron Mukumi received his first piano lessons at the Uspensky Institute of Music by Prof. Tamara Popovich at the age of 6, and already one year later, he won the 1st Prize at the International „Russian Music“ Piano Competition in California and the 1st Prize at the Youth National Piano Competition of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.
In 2004 he was a prize winner of the Tashkent „Found Forum“ Festival. At the age of 7, Nuron received conducting lessons from Vladimir Neymer. The following year, he gave his conducting debút with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan conducting the D-Minor piano concerto by W.A. Mozart while playing the solo piano part at the same time.
At the age of 9, Nuron was a winner of a Special Prize at the „ Citta di Cantú“ International Piano Competition allowing him to perform at the winners concert in Milan’s Sala Verdi, conducting and playing the D-Minor piano concerto by W.A Mozart with the Symphony Orchestra of Romania.
In 2007, three London music schools: The Purcell, The North London and The Guildhall offered Nuron full sholarships. Nuron chose the Purcell School and studied there from 2007 to 2010. During the years at The Purcell School, he was invited to play at St. Martin–in-the-fields, the Millenium Center, Steinway Hall and the Royal Academy Hall. In 2007 he also won the 1st Prize and a Special Prize at the Mozart Competition in Rome, as well as a distinguished opportunity to conduct the “Moscow Virtuosi” at the „Vladimir Spivakov Festival“.
Further successes at competitons in 2008/2009 were the 1st Prizes at the International Piano Competition of Friburg in Switzerland and the North London Festival for Music and Performing Arts. In 2009, Nuron was a winner of the 2nd Prize at the International Franz Liszt Competition in Weimar.
Nuron Mukumi became a student of the „Meisterklasse Lev Natochenny“ in 2010 and studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt am Main until 2015. Currently, Nuron continues his piano studies at the Kalaidos Hochschule für Musik in Switzerland with Prof. Lev Natochenny and at the Musik-Akademie Basel.
During his years in Frankfurt am Main,Nuron performed at numerous prestigious venues: Salle Cortot Paris, the Weilburger Schlosskonzerte, Alte Oper, HR Sendesaal, Bad Homburger Schlosskonzerte, etc. He gave his solo debút at the Klavier Festival Ruhr in 2014 and played with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, The Moscow Virtuosi, the Symphony Orchestra of Romania and the chamber orchestra Pforzheim.
Sara Domjanic – Biography
Sara Domjanic was born in Vaduz in 1997 and started playing the violin at the age of four. In 2004, she took up private lessons with Prof. Herbert Scherz in Zurich. At the age of eleven Sara entered the University of Arts in Berlin where she remained a junior student at the Julius-Stern-Institute for four years in the class of Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg. She was at the Music High School in Feldkirch, Austria, receiving violin lessons from Prof. Rudens Turku. Since April 2016 she is a bachelor student in Berlin at the Hanns Eisler music university in the class of Prof. Antje Weithaas. An avid participant of master classes, she reaped further artistic impulses from Gerhard Mantel, Arbo Valdma, Thomas Brandis, Coosje Wijzenbeek or Ana Chumachenco. Since 2011, the young violinist has also been a student at the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Sara won her first competition at the age of only five and has repeatedly scored first prizes at the Austrian music competition “Prima la Musica” on a regional and national level ever since. In 2008, she was awarded the “Podium-Prize“ in Liechtenstein for her extraordinary musical talent and won first prize at the Swiss “Chamber Music Competition Kiwanis” with the Trio Ingenium Musicum. Further first prizes include the Youth Music Competitions in Liechtenstein and Switzerland as well as the International Competition ”Etide i Skale“ in Croatia. As a winner of the Croatian national finals in Zagreb, Sara represented Croatia at the “Eurovision Young Musicians 2014“ in Cologne.
Over the past years, Sara Domjanic has pursued an extensive solo career. She has performed with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the Bielorussian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Zagreb Soloists, the Franz-Schmidt- Chamber-Orchestra in Vienna, the Gnessin Orchestra Moscow, the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra, the chamber music ensemble Fancy Fiddlers from Amsterdam, the Chamber Orchestra Varazdin, the WDR Symphony Orchestra or the Chamber Orchestra of the Julius-Stern-Institute in Berlin, the Pressburger Symphoniker, the Menuhin Festivalorchestra and the Marseille Philcarmonic orchestra. At the tender age of 13, Sara made her debut at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. Other concerts took her to the Tonhalle Zürich, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Phil-harmonie im Gasteig in Munich, Friedrichspalast in Berlin, Centre Culturel in Paris, Knezev Dvor in Dubrovnik as well as the Vishnevskaya Opera House in Moscow. She has also been a much sought-after performer at festivals, amongst others at the Epidaurus Festival in Croatia, Music Festival in the Sultanate of Oman, Kissinger Summer in Germany, Next Generation Classic Festival Bad Ragaz, the Chamber Music Festival Bodensee, Menuhin Fetival in Gstaad, Schloss Esterhazy in Eisenstadt and her debut in the Regentenbau at the Festival Kissinger Sommer.
Sara Domjanic received substantial support from the Conny-Maeva Charitable Foundation, Guido-Feger-Foundation, Charitable Foundation ”Musik & Jugend“, Neue Bank AG Vaduz, Promotor Foundation, “Hand in Hand Anstalt” and the Culture Foundation Liechtenstein.
Sara plays on a Stephan von Baehr violin “Modell Antonio Stradivari golden period“ which was manufactured in 2014. Saras bow from the famous bow-maker Sattori.
